Key concepts
Raseel uses the same production terms as Business Central, so what you see on the board matches what your office team sees in the ERP.
| Term | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| Sales order | A customer order waiting to be made. Released sales orders appear in Raseel's planning queue. |
| Production order | An instruction to make a quantity of an item by a date. Created in Raseel, stored in Business Central. |
| Routing | The ordered list of steps (operations) needed to make an item, such as mix, form, bake, pack or cut, weld, assemble. |
| Operation | One step of a routing, done at a specific work center or machine. |
| Work center | A group of people or machines that do similar work, such as Assembly or CNC. |
| Machine center | A specific machine inside a work center. |
| Production line | A lane on the board within a work center. A work center can have several lines running side by side. |
| Capacity | How much work a work center can handle in a period, based on its working calendar. |
Production order statuses
| Status | Meaning | Can it be removed? |
|---|---|---|
| Firm Planned | Committed to the plan but not yet released to the floor. | Yes, always. |
| Released | Sent to the floor and ready to start. | Only if no work has been started or reported on it. |
| Finished | All work is complete and reported. | No. |
Operation progress
Each operation on the board shows where it stands: not started, running, paused or finished. Raseel updates this as operators record their progress.
