Planning view

The Planning view is where demand becomes work. Released sales orders wait in a queue; you drag them onto the plan, and Raseel creates the production order in Business Central for you.

A Firm Planned order can always go back to the queue; a Released one only until work starts.

Create a production order

  1. Open Planning.
  2. Find the sales order in the queue. Use search or filters to narrow the list.
  3. Drag the order into the plan.
  4. Choose the status: Firm Planned if you are committing it to the plan, or Released if it is ready for the floor now.
  5. Raseel creates the production order in Business Central, applies the item's approved routing, and plans its operations.
  6. The new order appears on the plan and, once released, on the Schedule and Floor views.

Firm Planned or Released?

  • Choose Firm Planned when you want to reserve the work and see its effect on capacity, but the floor should not start yet.
  • Choose Released when materials and capacity are ready and the floor can begin.

Remove a production order

If plans change, delete the production order from the board. The sales order goes back into the planning queue so you can plan it again later.

  • Firm Planned orders can always be removed.
  • Released orders can be removed only if nobody has started work or reported output on them. Once work has begun, speak to your supervisor.

Good to know

  • An item needs an approved (certified) routing in Business Central before Raseel can plan it. If an order will not plan, see Troubleshooting.
  • You never need to open Business Central to create the order; Raseel does that step.
